LAmaine: People, Place, Prosperity.

Welcome to Lewiston Auburn, Maine, the second largest community in the state. The Androscoggin River flows through our community, and determination courses through our veins. Some of the state’s most prestigious companies are located in Lewiston-Auburn including Procter & Gamble’s Tambrands, Inc., General Electric, Country Kitchen, and L.L. Bean’s Telemarketing Center.  Lewiston-Auburn is also home to Bates College, Sts. Peter and Paul Basilica, and the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer, Hope & Healing.

People, Place, Prosperity an LAmaine vision. The Vision will be based on input from citizens, business, and property owners from across LA. We will do this through a series of community meetings designed to engage as many corners of the combined cities, business types, and the wide diversity of LA’s citizens. The Vision will provide guidance for the creation of a renewed Growth Strategy. The vision will provide guidance for the creation of a renewed Growth Strategy. The Strategy will be “place-based” and rooting in sound Community Economic Development principles.

Join LAEGC and the LAmaine Community as we work together with our civic leaders in each city; our partners and community organizations; our business leaders; our workers; and our residents to envision craft, and implement a Growth Strategy for the betterment of all LA.
